Mauka Mauka

India play against Pakistan at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata in the 7th match of the ICC World T20 2016. As most of you might have seen the “Mauka Mauka” guy is back this time sending a video message to Shahid Afridi to show Indians how to hit a six. Now I don’t know about all of you but I really feel bad for that guy. From 1992 till now that guy has the same box of crackers and he has still not realised that maybe buying new crackers will bring good luck (I don’t know how it is there, but in India we care about these things).

This match was earlier supposed to be played in Dharamshala, but due to security reasons has been shifted to Kolkata. Eden Gardens is a historic stadium since this is where Shoaib Akhtar bowled Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar off consecutive deliveries in 1999. But this is the same place where Harbhajan Singh tookย the most wickets and Rohit Sharma scored 264 (his career best). If you look closely you’ll notice that Rohit and Harbhajan are still playing and Shoaib has retired.

Even the social media of both countries is flooding with spoofs of the “Mauka Mauka” TVC and various troll comics. This is the 5th time India play against Pakistan in ICC World T20. The first Indo-Pak encounter in 2007 was a tie and the winner was decided in a bowl out. and in the last world T20 encouter India won by 7 wickets. Now the question is, will it be a Boom Boom show at the Eden Gardens or will Kohli take on the Pakistani bowlers once again? Will the Mauka Mauka guy finally get to burst the crackers or it will be Diwali once again in India?

It’s a Mauka Mauka for both the teams .

P.S.- I really really really want India to win.
